An emergency is an event or situation where the life of your horse is in imminent danger.  It is better to call too soon that not soon enough!  If you feel you have an   emergency, please do not hesitate to call.

In the event of an emergency:

  • Call (770) 252-8414. Call only! We cannot guarantee text messages or social media inquiries will be responded to immediately.
  • Keep the phone line clear so that the veterinarian can call you back.
  • The owner of person authorized to make health decisions must be in attendance.
  • The vet will treat the emergency and provide instructions for further care and arrange for follow-up visits to monitor the health of your horse.

The call back from the vet will help to establish the type of emergency and how you can assist with the comfort and well being of your horse until the vet can arrive.  It is our policy to get to an emergency as quickly as possible.  In some cases, the vet may refer the horse to a facility that can provide a higher level of care saving valuable time.  If a referral is required, our veterinarian will notify the referral facility to expect your arrival and will provide them with important diagnostic information.

*Please note an emergency fee will be charged in addition to routine fees for after-hours call.
